- Body Language Venice, January 2022
During the challenging times of the pandemic, I had the unique opportunity to showcase my sculpture titled "Awaiting his Fate" in Venice. The experience was nothing short of an adventure, navigating through the city's serene streets and canals, which were unusually quiet due to the absence of tourists. This provided a rare and intimate setting for my artwork to be appreciated by those who were able to visit. The juxtaposition of the tranquil atmosphere against the profound emotions evoked by my sculpture created a powerful and memorable exhibition. It was a moment of connection between art and audience, a moment of reflection and contemplation amidst the uncertainty of the world. As I stood beside my creation, I felt a sense of resilience and hope, knowing that even in the face of adversity, art has the power to inspire and uplift.

Sharing my vision about sculpture and explaining why I aspire to see my work displayed in open-air spaces Creating sculptures is a deeply personal and expressive form of art that allows me to convey my thoughts, emotions, and perspectives in a tangible form. Sculpture, for me, is not just about shaping materials; it is about breathing life into them, infusing them with meaning and significance. Each sculpture I create is a reflection of my inner world, a manifestation of my creativity and vision. One of the reasons why I aspire to see my sculptures displayed in open-air spaces is the unique interaction they have with the environment. Placing sculptures outdoors allows them to become part of the natural landscape, interacting with light, shadows, and the elements. When placed in outdoor settings, sculptures have the opportunity to engage with a broader audience, transcending the confines of traditional gallery spaces and reaching people from all walks of life. This accessibility and inclusivity are essential aspects of my artistic vision, as I believe art should be experienced and appreciated by as many people as possible. In conclusion, my passion for sculpture and my desire to see my work displayed in open-air spaces stem from a deep-seated belief in the power of art to inspire, provoke thought, and evoke emotions. By sharing my vision through sculptures exhibited in outdoor settings, I hope to create meaningful connections with viewers, enriching their lives and fostering a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the world around us.

The emotion of returning to my roots after recovering this year my mock-ups from 1968, which I created when I was sixteen and had no prior education, I felt a sense of coming full circle. The craft we were doing alone introduced me to these four three-dimensional beings, but they were eventually forgotten as my life took me to other realms. Use the link in the photo to view the entire video. Reflecting on the journey back to my creative origins, the rediscovery of my mock-ups from 1968 marks a significant milestone in my life. Crafting those pieces at the age of sixteen, with no formal training, now serves as a poignant reminder of my artistic beginnings. The sense of nostalgia and accomplishment that washed over me as I revisited these creations was truly profound. These long-forgotten three-dimensional beings that I had brought to life through my craft resurfaced like old friends, sparking a flood of memories and emotions. Despite the passage of time and the twists and turns of life that led me away from them, their essence remained intact, waiting to be rediscovered. This reunion with my past work felt like a reunion with a part of myself that had been dormant for years.
